Shipping information

1. Situation

Our products are shipped from our warehouse at EXOTIC DESIGN, 166 rue Saint-François Xavier, 33170 GRADIGNAN, and from there are distributed throughout France and the world. All shipments to private customers include the relevant French VAT.

2. Preparation

Shipments are prepared (except in special circumstances) by 1:00 p.m. each afternoon, Monday to Friday. For this reason, orders received before 12:00 p.m. usually leave our warehouse the same day.

The delivery service we use is usually within 2 to 5 days. This means delivery to our customers is made within hours of leaving our warehouse.

3. Delivery times

Deliveries will be made between 9am and 5pm. Carriers never fix the exact time of delivery, so it is advisable to provide an address where there may be someone to take the order within this time slot. It is customary to give a direction to avoid potential problems in this area. If you do not wish the order to be delivered within two to five days, please indicate this in the additional information section. Whenever the customer specifies a specific delivery time, EXOTIC DESIGN will include it in the delivery note, although transport companies are not obliged to respect it (but will do their best to ensure delivery).

3. Delivery times

If the carrier is unable to deliver the parcel because no one can be found, it will be returned to the carrier’s warehouse in the destination city. They will try to contact the customer the next day to arrange a new delivery, so it’s very important that they leave us a valid phone number where they can be contacted. Although carriers should leave a notice of their arrival, they may not do so. If you have any doubts about the status of your shipment, please contact us at contact@exoticdesign.fr.

4. Shipping to France, Andorra, Monaco, Belgium and Luxembourg

  • Classic delivery: from €4.99 (incl. VAT)
  • Delivery by carrier: from €14.99 (incl. VAT)
  • On-site collection: €0

All consignments are nevertheless delivered to the foot of the street, but they are generally delivered to the door of the home’s apartment at the will of the carrier, without any existing obligation, as far as the conditions of the installations allow.

5. Deliveries within the European Union

6. Deliveries to countries outside the European Union

For deliveries outside the European Union, the Buyer is considered an importer. As such, he/she is solely responsible for the payment of all customs duties, import taxes and/or other charges that may be required by the legislation in force in the country of destination. These charges are not included in the price invoiced by the Seller.

7. Acceptance of delivery

It is imperative that you check the condition of the goods, their integrity and the conformity of your order before signing the delivery note, which is contractually binding.

No complaint can be taken into account in the absence of precise, complete and characterized reserves, formulated in writing in the presence of the deliveryman.
Vague and imprecise mentions such as “damage” or “opened parcel” have no legal value.

You will be held liable in the event of a dispute.

Terms & Conditions

The products offered on this site are managed by EXOTIC DESIGN.

EXOTIC DESIGN sells to the customer and the customer buys the product(s) specified in the order and invoice. Listings and deletions are updated daily in the catalog, offers, promotions, etc. In the event of a request for an out-of-print or discontinued product, we will notify you via the e-mail address you have provided.

The conditions and prices displayed on the site are valid except for typographical errors. Prices are revised regularly and may be changed without notice. You will be informed of shipping costs when you place your order. If you wish to offer a different form of delivery to that indicated on the website, please contact us before placing your order.

Orders may be cancelled at no cost to the customer before being delivered to the transport company. If this is the case, please send us an e-mail as soon as possible to contact@exoticdesign.fr so that we can proceed with the cancellation. If the order has already been collected by the transport company, the amount of the actual cost applied by the transport company will be deducted from the amount to be paid. The difference will be paid as soon as possible.

Orders placed before 12 p.m. are prepared and dispatched the same day (barring exceptions and even if out of stock), and the customer receives them within 2 to 5 days. Orders placed after this time are dispatched the following day. These conditions apply only to orders paid for by credit card.

EXOTIC DESIGN does not store any data relating to payment or the credit or debit card used for payment. The entire card payment operation is carried out via a bank’s secure payment gateway, with the data encrypted using SSL protocol, thus preventing the interception of information by third parties. All guarantees of security, confidentiality and integrity for participating operators, whether cardholders or their issuing entities, merchants or buyers, must be provided for transactions carried out on the Web.

We will try to make the site available 24 hours a day. EXOTIC DESIGN is not responsible if the site is inaccessible at any time or at any time. Connection may be temporarily suspended in the event of system failure, maintenance or repair, or any other circumstances beyond our control.

The site will remain open for consultation, but no purchases can be made during vacation periods. Every effort will be made to indicate the duration and dates of these periods well in advance.

Personal data

At EXOTIC DESIGN, once you have placed an order, we will only use your information to ship your order, to contact you in the event of a problem or to send you our newsletters. If you don’t want to receive anything from us, you can simply unsubscribe on your account or in the same email.

Impact during shipping

  • Cuts and/or tears: in the unlikely event that the parcel arrives damaged or in poor condition, it is imperative to indicate this on the delivery note filled in by the delivery person at the time of delivery. Exotic Design recommends accepting damaged goods, provided that this has been reported to the delivery person, and deliberately mentioned on the delivery note signed by the customer. It is then necessary to report the incident to us by email at contact@exoticdesign.fr, and we will then be able to resolve the said incident. If no mention is made on the delivery note, it will be difficult to file a claim with the transport company.
  • Loss: In the event of loss of a shipment, EXOTIC DESIGN will organize a new shipment with the carrier and proceed with the claim at no cost to the customer.
  • Delay:In the event of an unjustified delay in the delivery of a parcel, the customer must notify EXOTIC DESIGN so that we can proceed with the corresponding claim. At present, transport companies rarely bear the cost of shipping, but if EXOTIC DESIGN can obtain compensation, it will inform the customer. EXOTIC DESIGN will not compensate customers for delays in delivery caused by transport.
  • If the customer refuses delivery of the parcel: If the customer refuses delivery, without a valid reason (e.g. broken statue), without prior authorization or express consent from EXOTIC DESIGN, EXOTIC DESIGN reserves the right and may unilaterally decide to pay the customer the amount of the purchase minus the actual transport costs generated or a new delivery of the goods since the goods have been dispatched.

Return policy

Returns will not be accepted for products that are not unused, in perfect condition, clean and in their original packaging, and without evidence of assembly. For this reason, payment or change will only be made after receipt of the goods at our premises. If, on receipt of the package, these conditions are not met, the refund will not be accepted.
The refund request must be made within 30 days of receipt of the product. If, for any reason, this timeframe is not possible, you must contact us so that we can approve different conditions. Once the 30-day period has expired, EXOTIC DESIGN will not accept refunds for failure to purchase products. This retraction is only accepted if the product has not been handled and has no symptoms of assembly/use.

Special or customized orders
have no right of return or withdrawal, except for reasons of factory defect.
If you wish to cancel the purchase of a product, you must contact us by sending an e-mail to contact@exoticdesign.fr.

The free 30-day return policy does not apply in Switzerland. You must contact us by sending an email to contact@exoticdesign.fr.

Return conditions

We accept all returns that meet these requirements:

  • You can request a refund within 30 days of purchase.
  • The item must be in the same packaging conditions as those in which it was delivered and in its original packaging, in perfect condition, with no signs of assembly or use, which means that the product seal must not have been tampered with in any way, including manuals, accessories and warranty documents. In addition, items must reach EXOTIC DESIGN properly packaged and protected to prevent damage during return transport. If this is not the case, any defects in the item may be recovered and the remaining difference may be paid for.
  • It must be properly packaged so as not to be damaged during return transport. In the event of non-compliance, the refund cannot be accepted or the amount of the estimated damage may be subtracted from the payment.
  • Once we have received the item and checked that it is correct, we will refund you using the same system you used to pay, subtracting the cost of transport to and from the product, paying only the difference.
  • If, at the time the customer receives a product, it is broken or defective, EXOTIC DESIGN reserves the right to decide to refund the amount paid or to replace it with a new product in perfect condition.
  • If the defect subsequently appears, the case is examined and the steps specified in the product warranty are followed.
  • Returns are not possible for deliveries to relay points.

In the event of non-compliance with the requirements or observation of any damage/dysfunction/use on the product, EXOTIC DESIGN retains the right not to accept the refund or to deduct the amount of the estimated damage together with shipping costs. We will get back to you as soon as possible and arrange a refund as quickly as possible.
It is imperative to notify EXOTIC DESIGN before returning any product so that there are no problems during processing and so that our team can check receipt of the material.

2-year warranty

All our products are guaranteed for 2 years. This means that if, within 2 years of the date of receipt, the CUSTOMER notices that an item is malfunctioning, he/she can send the after-sales service a report with supporting PHOTOS and VIDEOS, describing the damage as accurately as possible, and request either a refund or an exchange. In all cases, EXOTIC DESIGN cannot be held responsible for non-compliance with regulatory and legislative provisions in force in the country of receipt, and EXOTIC DESIGN’s liability is systematically limited to the value of the product in question, at its date of sale, with no possibility of recourse against the brand or company producing the product.

In all cases, EXOTIC DESIGN cannot be held responsible for scratches and wear defects on the product NOT NOTED AT THE TIME OF DELIVERY. The same applies to assembly errors or misuse of the product.
